VECTOR GROUP

Transformers will be connected as per Vector Group reference DyN11 and other Vector Groups can be offered as per specific requirements.

TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT

PRIMARY: Generally terminals are brought out through side wall mounted porcelain/epoxy bushings to an air filled cable entry box by suitable copper or brass stud.

SECONDARY: Generally terminals are brought through side wall mounted porcelain/epoxy bushings to an air filled cable box by suitable copper or brass stud.

TEMPERATURE RISE

Max. 115˚C measured by resistance method with maximum daily ambient temperature as per is.

TAPPING ARRANGEMENT

Off Circuit tappings, +5% to -5% in steps of 2.5% are provided on Primary/Secondary windings. Taps are provided on Fibre Glass Board inside the enclosure & changed manually by copper link by opening of the enclosure panel or inspection cover.

CONSTRUCTION

CORE

COLD ROLLED GRAIN ORIENTED high permeability silicon steel, with Low Loss Grade M4 or better, with fully mitred joints.

WINDING

LV. & HV. Winding are done in a dust free zone. Rectangular copper strips/foils are used for LV. Winding while HV. Winding are of copper rectangular wire / strip both insulated with NOMEX insulation. This also prevent temperature rise even if wrapping is not possible due to small diameter.

VACUUM PRESSURE IMPREGNATION

The Transformer Coils are thoroughly dried in the drying oven & then completely sealed with an insulating varnish ( Class H or C) through Vacuum Pressure Impregnation Process. This VPI process fully penetrates & seals the coils into higher strength composite unit for complete environment protection, hence can be used in humid & chemically polluted atmosphere. Coils are then cured to develop bonding.

ENCLOSURE

Ventilated with louvers & screens for Indoor installation or Non-Ventilated (totally enclosed for outdoor installation) made from MS sheet of suitable thickness.

PAINT

Epoxy Powder Coated/Epoxy Enameled Paint.

QUALITY CONTROL & ROUTINE TEST

All AEG DRY TYPE transformers undergo rigorous Quality control checks and are routine tested as per IS 11171:1985 & IS 2026:1977 in our fully equipped facility. Any other specific test required by the client can also be arranged on mutually agreed terms & conditions.
