AEG transformers are designed & tested as per IS 1180 (Part 1):2014 and IS 2026:1977 with latest amendments.
Transformers will be connected as per Vector Group reference DyN11 and other Vector Groups can be offered as per specific requirements.
H.V. - Bare Bushings or Cable Box, L.V. - Bare Bushings or Cable Box, Disconnecting Chambers can also be provided on both H.V and L.V Cable boxes.
AEG Transformers are designed for a maximum temperature rise of 40/45˚C of oil/winding as per IS -1180 (Part-1):2014, 50/55˚ of oil & winding as per IS-2026. Lower temperature rise can be offered on request.
Class A- with TPC/DPC/SEM for Conductors.
The CORE is constructed from Low Loss, Cold Rolled, Grain Oriented, Annealed laminations of electrical sheet steel conforming to the latest national / international standards IS 3024 : 2006. Special frame is provided for clamping the core to reduce the magnetic noise as well as making the whole structure rigid and robust.
For Oil immersed transformers, paper & press boards conforming to IS : 1576 : 1992 are used as minor & major insulations because of their good di-electric strength. Press board, laminated wood or synthetic resin bonded paper components are also used to provide necessary mechanical strength & support and connections to withstand Short Circuits.
Coils are wound with electrolytic high conductivity paper insulated or synthetic enamelled copper conductors. Cooling ducts are provided to keep the hot spot temperature as low as possible. Core & winding are dried in electric ovens. Rigid connection support and coil clamping are provided to ensure high Short Circuit strength.
In order to remove all traces of moisture from the insulations, the whole assembly including the active parts is put into oven for drying and then tanked with hot oil impregnation..
The TANK is made from mild steel plate/sheet of adequate thickness & with necessary horizontal & vertical stiffeners to withstand the vacuum & pressure tests. For power & distribution transformers, pressed sheet steel radiators of special profile, both detachable & fixed type, are used. All the external surfaces are Shot Blasted, and are given an Epoxy primary coat & finish coat with Polyurethane paint.
Transformer Oil is tested for di-electric & acidic characteristics conforming to IS-335 and filtered thoroughly before topping up.
All AEG Oil Type transformers undergo rigorous quality control checks and are routine tested as per IS 1180:2014 and IS 2026:1977 in our fully equipped facility. Any other specific test required by the client can also be arranged on mutually agreed terms & conditions.
